About The Position
Activities Assistant (CNA Required) at Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center is a part-time role focused on resident engagement and enhancing their daily quality of life. This position offers a break from physically demanding floor duties while remaining in patient care, allowing for more one-on-one interaction with residents. The role emphasizes creating a fun, positive work environment through games, music, events, and outings, supported by a collaborative team and leadership.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification (required)
- A positive, energetic personality and passion for working with seniors
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependability and strong attendance
- Ability to assist with resident mobility and stay active during your shift
- Flexibility to work every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with engaging activities (bingo, crafts, music, group events)
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and enhance daily quality of life
- Transport residents safely to and from activities
- Assist with special events, outings, and holiday celebrations
- Support activity planning, calendars, and documentation
- Work closely with the Activities Director and care team
