Activities Assistant - Memory Care
About The Position
The Activities Assistant works in the Memory Care community at The Village at Proprietors Green, a senior living community in Marshfield, Massachusetts. The assistant facilitates small-group activities under the direction of the Program Director, transports residents to and from activities as needed, and contributes to meeting residents’ social, psychological, and spiritual needs. The employer offers new-hire orientation and ongoing training, including training in dementia, disaster and emergency response, and elder abuse. A full-time, 40-hour position is available, and every other weekend is required.
Requirements
- Interest in and demonstrated ability to work with older adults.
- Every other weekend availability is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Individualized skills in crafts, music, or education.
- Assisted Living experience.
