The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. Requirements

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 25 years or older.
  • Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs.
  • Work towards a common goal of excellent care for residents.
  • Cooperate closely with the care team to support residents holistically.
  • Balance daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity prep.
  • Drive residents to appointments and activities.
