About The Position

Vancrest Healthcare is hiring an Activities Aide to help deliver personalized care and support residents’ comfort and quality of life. The role focuses on planning, facilitating, and participating in fun, engaging activities that reflect residents’ interests and preferences. The aide also supports resident engagement and assists with activity-related documentation as required by the department leader.

Requirements

Ability to build trusting, professional relationships with patients, families, caregivers, and referral sources.
Professional demeanor when facilitating scheduled activities.
Ability to engage residents in small-group activities.
Capacity to assess residents’ individual interests.
Willingness to assist residents with their preferences for daily activities.
Ability to collaborate with other departments.
Interest in providing one-on-one time with residents.
Ability to assist with required activity documentation.

Nice To Haves

Nursing home activities experience.
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) qualification; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Plan and participate in fun, engaging activities for residents.
Facilitate activities according to the scheduled calendar.
Engage residents in small-group activities and provide one-on-one time.
Assess individual residents’ interests and help them pursue their preferences for daily activities.
Collaborate with other departments to provide meaningful resident engagement.
Assist with documentation of assessments, participation records, and other information as required by the department leader.
