About The Position

Lorien Bel Air is hiring an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activities Assistant to help create engaging and meaningful experiences for residents. The role supports games, special events, crafts, conversation, and other activities that foster connection, purpose, and enjoyment in a positive, social environment. Lorien Bel Air is a combined skilled nursing and assisted living community in Bel Air, Maryland, recognized for its care, technology, and services.

Requirements

Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for helping others.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning fun and engaging activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Availability to work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and leading group and individual activities.
Support recreational programs that promote social engagement and well-being.
Encourage resident participation in daily events and special activities.
Help create a positive, fun, and supportive community environment.
Work collaboratively with the activities and care team.
