About The Position

Lorien Bel Air is seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activities Assistant to help create enjoyable, meaningful experiences for residents. The role supports recreational programs and resident well-being in a positive, social community environment. The position is part-time, with shifts from 8:30 AM–4:00 PM or 10:30 AM–6:30 PM and availability every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required. The role is based at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland.

Requirements

Positive, outgoing personality and a passion for helping others.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning fun and engaging activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and leading group and individual activities.
Support recreational programs that promote social engagement and well-being.
Encourage resident participation in daily events and special activities.
Help create a positive, fun, and supportive community environment.
Work collaboratively with the activities and care team.
