About The Position

Lorien Health Services is hiring Activities Aides to join the team at Lorien Harmony Hall and Harmony Park in Columbia, Maryland. The role supports resident-centered care in an assisted living community, including a dedicated Memory Care unit serving residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN hours, with schedules available during days, evenings, and nights. The pay rate is $16.00–$19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and implementing daily activity programs.
Lead group activities, including games, crafts, exercise classes, music programs, and social events.
Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships.
Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
Help decorate and set up for parties, holidays, and special events.
Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
Document resident attendance and participation.
Observe residents for changes in mood, behavior, or abilities and report concerns to appropriate staff.
Support community outings and transportation activities when applicable.
