About The Position
Come join us at Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are looking for an Activities Aide - Life Enrichment.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience providing Nursing Home activities and enrichment to seniors required.
Nice To Haves
- HHA or CNA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing and implementing the activities programs of the facility.
- Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
- Assist the Activity Director with preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the activity needs of each resident.
- Review assessments as necessary, but at least quarterly.
- Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
- Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts; provide materials as necessary.
- Assist in the transportation of residents to activities.
- Complete floor bulletin boards on a monthly basis.
