About The Position

Lehigh Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join its compassionate care-giving team in a long-term care setting specializing in geriatrics. The CNA interacts directly with patients, providing comfort, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living needs. This role is an important link between patients, nurses, and other team members. The position is full-time, with 64 hours in a pay period, and offers an 8-hour day shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training course.
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy and bedside manner.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including delivering meals, turning and ambulating patients, providing fresh water, and offering nourishment between meals.
Help patients with personal hygiene, including providing bedpans and assisting with baths, shampoos, and showers.
Provide adjunct patient care, including ice packs, non-sterile dressings, and therapeutic baths.
Check vital signs and record daily information in patient charts.
Assist nurses and other staff as needed.
Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
Handle pressure and critical situations with a cool head.
