About The Position

The Detroit Red Wings Corporate Partnership Activation Coordinator is responsible for assisting the team in delivering the highest level of service to all of our partners. The activation coordinator will assist in the successful and timely implementation of contractual elements pertaining to sports and entertainment partners. This position is responsible for managing the execution of sponsorships, game-day activations, special events, recapping partnerships, calculating overall value of partnerships, and reporting results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience (or any equivalent combination of experience and training).
  • Understanding of marketing, advertising, and public relations principles.
  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box.
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated highly developed verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Evidence of organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a position requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, or other web-based applications and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute all partnership elements/assets for each assigned partner, including game-day activation and events and promotions, such as clinics, tournaments, player appearances, special promotions, and sweepstakes execution.
  • Manage partner-related hospitality activities.
  • Assist with Corporate Partnership department projects, including pre-season action plans, post-season recaps, department events, premium item coordination, tracking social media promotions, and organizing game day and event photos.
  • Learn and utilize Demographic Tools and Media Valuation Tools as necessary and requested.
  • Assist with managing contractual autographed merchandise inventory & process each season.
  • Provide monthly asset reporting for digital signage (IPTV/video clusters), LED signage (In-bowl ribbons, Entrance LEDs), and Radio.
  • Own the DED process, including creative asset delivery, approvals & trafficking, managing available inventory, scheduling creative, and clipping video proofs after execution.
  • Support Partnership Events Coordinator with various events as needed.
  • Implement the “Coordinator on Duty” rotation to support various gameday activations, including asset checks, assisting with Zamboni Rides and Bench Buddies, serving as the primary point of contact for Concourse tabling (credentials, load-in, load-out), and assisting with Post Game Meet & Greets.
