About The Position

We are seeking an Action Officer to provide high‑tempo executive operations support to senior leadership within an advanced defense research environment. This role focuses on tracking taskings, managing leadership calendars, and preparing briefing materials for high‑level meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with key stakeholders to track project status, actions, milestones, and schedules.
  • Experience preparing briefings and ensuring teams are prepared for high‑level meetings.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and task‑tracking or collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a front‑office or Executive Officer role within the Department of Defense or similar organizations.
  • Experience supporting senior‑level leaders (e.g., SES, flag officers, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and coordinating a wide range of taskings, drills, and special requests to ensure they are completed on time and to the expected standard.
  • Managing taskings originating from both external organizations and internal leadership, helping to assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Maintaining leadership calendars, including creating and accepting meeting invitations, coordinating visit requests, and de‑conflicting events.
  • Managing incoming communications—such as emails, calls, and messages—to support effective scheduling and ensure that leaders have the information and support they need to meet mission requirements.
  • Supporting the preparation of major program reviews and other high‑level engagements by coordinating schedules, assembling read‑ahead materials, and supporting development of briefing content.
  • Assisting in drafting and refining briefings, reports, and communication documents, including classified materials, ensuring they are accurate, clear, and delivered on time.
