The ACT Mental Health Professional will work as part of a team to develop Individual Treatment Plans that identify services and supports enabling individuals to live as independently as possible in the community. This role involves assisting with skill development in areas such as symptom management, budgeting, housing, health and wellness, transportation, relationship building, medication monitoring, and obtaining or maintaining benefits. The professional will provide individual and/or group psychotherapy using empirically supported methods like cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis, behavioral activation for depression, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing strategies. Collaboration, consultation, and education will be provided to significant others and family members as requested. Services must be provided with dignity and respect, considering diagnosis, age, gender, and culture. Prompt communication of individual status changes to the team and documentation for continuity of care are essential. The role also includes providing coverage for team members during illness or crisis and participating in the ACT 24-hour on-call rotation, daily team meetings, and scheduled trainings.
