About The Position

Jack Laurie Group is a trusted leader in commercial construction and interior systems across Indiana, specializing in high-quality workmanship and growing their Interiors division in the Fort Wayne market. They are looking for skilled professionals who take pride in their craft and can hit the ground running. This role is focused on the installation of acoustical ceiling systems (ACT), drop ceilings, and suspended grid systems in commercial environments. This is not an entry-level role, and candidates must have prior, hands-on experience installing acoustical ceiling systems.

Requirements

Proven experience installing ACT / acoustical ceilings / drop ceilings
Strong knowledge of suspended ceiling systems and grid layout
Ability to read and work from blueprints and construction documents
Experience working on commercial construction job sites
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Nice To Haves

Experience with metal stud framing or drywall
Experience on large-scale commercial interior projects

Responsibilities

Install acoustical ceiling tile (ACT), drop ceilings, and suspended ceiling grid systems
Layout and build ceiling grid systems to spec
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Measure, cut, and install ceiling materials with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure all work meets quality standards and project timelines
Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on-site
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
