About The Position

We’re looking to expand our team across the board. York Space Systems is looking for talented, early career Attitude Control System (ACS) Engineers who will support the design and creation of these aerospace technologies and contribute to the growth and development of the ACS team. This individual will work across a multitude of programs and have a direct influence on both commercial and national missions. Aerospace specific experience is desired, but not an absolute requirement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or related technical field required.
  • 0–3 years of experience in aerospace, guidance/navigation/control, spacecraft systems, robotics, or related field.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with dynamics, controls, estimation, orbital mechanics, or spacecraft attitude determination and control preferred.
  • Aerospace specific experience is desired, but not an absolute requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis, development, and test of algorithms, simulations, and system models for spacecraft attitude determination and control systems.
  • Support software-in-the-loop, processor-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Assist with mission operations, telemetry review, and anomaly investigation under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, avionics, systems, flight operations, and manufacturing.
  • Prepare technical presentations, analyses, and review materials for internal and customer design reviews.
  • Support ACS hardware integration, vendor coordination, and related procurement activities as needed to meet program schedules.
