Summary of Job: We are seeking a high-performing Acquisitions Specialist to join our Inside Sales team focused the AutoTrader.ca dealer base. This role is responsible for driving net new dealer growth and revenue through proactive outbound prospecting and consultative selling. You will execute targeted acquisition campaigns, convert qualified prospects into long-term advertising partners, and play a key role in expanding our Marketplace presence across Canada. This is a metrics-driven, fast-paced role suited for someone who thrives on building pipeline, closing new business, and continuously improving their performance through data and coaching.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of inside sales or new business development experience (B2B preferred).
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience selling digital advertising, SaaS, marketplace solutions, or other consultative products to small or medium businesses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and performance dashboards.
  • Hunter mindset with strong closing ability.
  • Data-driven and metrics-oriented.

  • Strong business acumen and consultative selling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive net new revenue and dealer acquisition through structured outbound prospecting (calls, video meetings, email, and digital follow-ups).
  • Execute targeted vertical and regional acquisition campaigns aligned with go-to-market priorities.
  • Identify high-potential prospects using CRM data, market insights, and defined Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations to understand business goals, marketing challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Present tailored advertising and digital solutions that clearly demonstrate ROI and marketplace value.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets for revenue, dealer count, and activity KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene (Salesforce preferred).
  • Track and improve key conversion metrics (contact rate, meeting rate, close rate).
  • Use data to prioritize efforts toward the highest-value opportunities.
  • Provide frontline feedback on competitive trends, pricing sensitivities, and product-market fit.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Sales Leadership to refine acquisition strategies.
  • Contribute insights that improve campaign targeting, messaging, and performance.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new dealers by setting clear expectations and coordinating with internal teams.
  • Position new customers for long-term success and advocacy.
