Acquisition Specialist - Mazda North
About The Position
McDonald Mazda North is hiring an Acquisition Specialist to support its automotive inventory and sales process. The role involves photographing every vehicle for the dealership website, maintaining inventory, and writing personalized vehicle descriptions. Although the position does not sell cars, it is integral to the sales process and requires an understanding of how automotive sales work. The work is computer-intensive and can involve multitasking during busy periods. The dealership values teamwork, attention to detail, automotive knowledge, and strong writing and grammar skills. Evening and Saturday availability is required.
Requirements
- A solid understanding of cars, including makes, models, and general mechanical terminology.
- Ability to multitask and handle bursts of activity.
- Attention to detail and ability to work at a computer for most of the day.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to go above and beyond to support collective goals.
- Above-average writing and grammar skills.
- Working knowledge of the automotive sales industry.
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) to meet insurance requirements.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as an automotive sales or service assistant.
- Automotive mechanical aptitude; formal technical experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience doing light-duty work on a personal vehicle or working on a hobby or project car.
Responsibilities
- Take photographs of every vehicle and upload them to the dealership website.
- Properly maintain vehicle inventory.
- Write personalized vehicle descriptions.
- Support the automotive sales process through inventory-related work.
