About The Position

DCS is looking for an Acquisition specialist to support a new program in preparation for two Acquisition Shaping panels in FY25. This role involves providing recommendations to the Product Management team concerning acquisition planning, applying procurement principles, assisting in the development of acquisition strategies and documents, coordinating program ramp-up, and supporting the preparation of briefings and presentations for stakeholders. Travel up to 25% is required.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelors and 8 years of experience.
TS/SCI clearance is required.
Must have experience supporting an Army ACAT level program.

Responsibilities

Provide recommendations to the Product Management team concerning the acquisition planning to include cost, schedule, and performance of highly complex, high monetary value, long term acquisitions.
Apply procurement principles and technical or program requirements to ensure the acquisition and milestone documentation are reflected and are integrated into the resulting contracting and procurement actions.
Assist in the development of acquisition strategies that align with program goals and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development of acquisition documents such as the Simplified Acquisition Management Plan, Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, Program Office Estimate, Acquisition Decision memorandums, Test and evaluation plans, etc.
Coordinate and assist in the ramp-up of the program as new capabilities are transitioned and developed, ensuring smooth integration and operational readiness.
Support the preparation and development of briefings and presentations for internal and external stakeholders that effectively communicate the status, challenges, and successes of the program.
Develop and brief clear, concise, and tailored briefings for various audiences.
