About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for negotiating and offering lump-sum cash payments to public and private cell tower landlords for an assignment of future rental income associated with their cell sites, over the telephone and by email. The role involves researching prospective customers, making outbound calls, building rapport with landlords, acting as an advisor and subject matter expert, negotiating deals, and acquiring rents. The Acquisition Director will also perform market research, utilize a CRM system for pipeline management, and upload transaction documents. Continuous training is expected to develop expertise in legal, financial, and taxation structures relevant to the acquisition process. Collaboration with customers' professional advisors is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business or Finance
  • 3 - 5 years of high-pressure sales experience in finance, real estate, telecom, lease negotiation, site acquisition or similar.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet and database management.
  • Prior work experience with CRM systems and associated dashboard and reporting functionality.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through regulated companies’ procedures to contract for Infrastructure services.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and closing expertise with a proven track record.

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile a list of prospective customers for acquisition leads.
  • Make outbound calls and follow-up calls to potential and existing customers via telephone, mail, and e-mail.
  • Build rapport with prospective landlords and act as an advisor and subject matter expert.
  • Negotiate and qualify leads to acquire rents.
  • Originate and acquire wireless infrastructure assets.
  • Perform market research activities to enhance lead quality.
  • Utilize CRM system to manage pipeline and create lead activities.
  • Upload transaction documents in M-Files.
  • Deliver on monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training, publications, and networking.
  • Provide ongoing pipeline support to ensure deals reach full legal completion, working with underwriting and legal departments.
  • Engage in continuous training to understand legal, financial, and taxation structures.
  • Work with customers' professional advisors (solicitors, accountants, etc.) to ensure legal completion of deals.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by manager.
