About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Acquisition Customer Service Representative to support patient transitions during asset purchases, acquisitions, and contract changes. In this role, you manage inbound call support while documenting patient information, verifying demographics and service‑area eligibility, and updating transition status across tracking logs and seller portals. You also communicate with patients, caregivers, payors, and referral sources to gather required documentation and ensure a smooth, compliant transition to Rotech. This position pays between $22.00/hr. - $23.00/hr. depending on related experience and state hired in.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with location employees to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Utilize computer for extensive hours
  • Continuously review documents with small print
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and or paperwork; utilize computer for extensive hours
  • Lift and carry up to 50lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical field and administrative record management preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer service background preferred
  • Working knowledge of Rotech policies, processes & systems preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receives inbound calls while updating status information in tracking logs and seller portals to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Communicates with patients, caregivers, payors, and referral sources verbally and in writing to address questions, resolve concerns, and support smooth transitions.
  • Documents patient information, processes required paperwork, assembles charts, including preparing files for the Field Operations Team, and completes messaging through ordering platforms and portals.
  • Verifies that transitioning patients fall within the servicing area of company locations and confirms all demographic information needed for accurate processing.
  • Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures to maintain JCAHO and organizational standards.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned to support operational needs.
