Apogee Global RMS is seeking an Acoustic Signatures and Silencing Subject Matter Expert to support NSWCPD and NAVSEA acoustic engineering, machinery silencing, and submarine signatures initiatives. This EA4‑level role provides advanced technical expertise in acoustic measurement, modeling, analysis, and machinery noise control across Navy platforms and test environments. This is a Key Personnel position supporting high‑visibility acoustic signatures programs with direct impact on fleet readiness, survivability, and platform quieting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in engineering, acoustics, or a related technical field from an ABET‑accredited institution
  • 10+ years of professional experience in: Machinery noise control
  • Acoustic measurement and data acquisition systems
  • Signal processing and acoustic data analysis
  • Acoustic modeling and simulation of mechanical systems
  • Sound, vibration, and wave propagation principles
  • Demonstrated experience with acoustic modeling tools (COMSOL, Ansys Mechanical, Ansys Fluent)
  • Ability to support land‑based, shipboard, and in‑port/underway acoustic assessments
  • Eligibility for Government facility/network access; Tier 3 investigation required for DON system access

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with U.S. Navy submarine machinery systems
