About The Position

The ACH Operations & Program Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with NACHA Operating Guideline across various departments within the bank as well as overseeing the operational functions of ACH, new process design and ACH product development. The role involves updating ACH policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, risk mitigation, and providing guidance and training on ACH operations. The manager will oversee system enhancements and rule changes, ensuring all ACH functions adhere to established guidelines and policies. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership to collaborate with other departments, manage program delivery and serve as a subject matter expert for ACH-related initiatives and risk management.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of NACHA and Reg-E rules
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification
  • Extensive experience in ACH products, including third-party sending and governance, design and set up of ACH processing systems & platforms, origination processes, and risk management practices
  • Experience leading team of ACH professionals
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in reviewing and analyzing financial information
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to guide company and influence stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) certification preferred but may be obtained after hiring

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and manage delivery of enterprise-wide ACH related programs, aligning with strategic business goals
  • Act as subject matter expert by providing training, coaching and guidance on ACH operations, rules, and risk mitigation
  • Oversee daily ACH operational functions, including establishing and maintaining optimal efficiency through process design, evaluation of systems, and use of automation
  • Support the company’s vendor management program by serving as a primary relationship manager for ACH-related vendors
  • Serve as lead for new ACH project initiatives
  • Maintain company’s ACH polices and procedures ensuring compliance with NACHA Operating Guidelines
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, monitor ACH activity, and implement strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks
  • Oversee system enhancements and rule changes as well as collaboration with other departments
  • Prepare ACH reports for management and committees and collaborate with internal and external auditors
  • Understand role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture that includes risk management processes
  • Other duties as assigned
