About The Position

This role manages the day-to-day processes within the ACH Operations team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of ACH transactions while maintaining compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. The position involves leading and developing a team of ACH Specialists, handling complex issues, analyzing data, and participating in key projects to improve ACH operations.

Requirements

  • Understands and keeps abreast of regulatory changes governing ACH transactions, ensuring compliance to policies and regulations and rules to minimize risk exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of NACHA rules and regulations, as well as federal and state laws and regulations related to ACH transactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience with ACH software and systems, such as Fiserv, Jack Henry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking or financial operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in ACH reconciliation or related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • AAP Certification (Accredited ACH Professional).

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day processes in the ACH Operations team, including scheduling, assigning, and monitoring tasks, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of ACH transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with NACHA rules and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, for all ACH activities, such as origination, receipt, returns, reversals, adjustments, disputes, and exceptions.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluation to the ACH Specialists, and identify opportunities for improvement and development.
  • Handles complex or escalated ACH issues and provides resolution and guidance to the ACH Specialists and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze and report on ACH data and metrics, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in ACH projects and initiatives, such as system enhancements, process improvements, and contingency planning.
  • Stay updated on the latest ACH industry developments and ensure the ACH department is prepared for any changes or updates.
