About The Position

The ACH Coordinator ensures that all ACH deposits and withdrawals provided are posted promptly and accurately. Provides ACH related support and helps resolve issues for members and coworkers.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of financial institution experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have strong computer skills with the ability to utilize various applications via desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Must be self motivated, with the ability to think independently and make independent decisions.
  • Must have the ability to balance workload, prioritize, and multi-task throughout the workday.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills by phone, email, and in person.
  • Must have the ability to analyze various data points and systems.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft 365.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of ACH processing experience at a financial institution is preferred.
  • This includes the ability to manually process files, manage incoming and outgoing files, and process returns.
  • An Associate's degree in a business related field is preferred.
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and/or rejects ACH Deposits and Withdraws daily; reviews and balances ACH return file and Federal Reserve Settlement. Monitors and records ACH daily and monthly totals.
  • Processes all ACH Origination requests, disputes, and stop payments; researches and resolves issues relating to ACHs.
  • Processes Reclamations from US Treasury for deposits posted after members are deceased.
  • Answers emails and phone calls assisting both employees, members and other Financial Institution with ACH research.
  • Keeps abreast of ACH events, obtains training and ensures ACH Manual is current.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.
