About The Position
The Aces Group Leader position is a part-time, 10-month classified role within the Afterschool Care (ACES) program. This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is considered continuing. The program is licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and requires specific pre-employment steps.
Requirements
- Must complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC).
- Must obtain NCID (NC Identity Management Service).
- Must complete CBC application process on the NCDHHS website.
- Must provide addresses for the past 5 years.
- Must complete fingerprinting (LIVESCAN) within 7 days of CBC application.
- Must have a valid ID for fingerprinting.
- Must pay a $26.50 fee for the CBC application (Visa or MasterCard only).
- Must pay $10 cash for fingerprinting.
- Must upload the qualification letter from DHHS to the GCS application before Human Resources approval.
- Must have a Criminal Background Check (CBC) cleared by DHHS.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in an afterschool care setting.
- Ensure compliance with DHHS licensing requirements.
- Complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC) including application, fingerprinting, and any out-of-state checks if applicable.
- Upload qualification letter from DHHS to GCS application.
