About The Position

Lake Havasu City Police Department is seeking an Accreditation Specialist to manage the department's accreditation program, ensuring compliance with the Arizona Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ALEAP). This role involves keeping policies current, coordinating audits, tracking standards, conducting inspections, researching best practices, and preparing reports. The specialist will work closely with command staff to improve processes and help the department achieve and maintain excellence. This position is available as either full-time or part-time, with the part-time role working no more than 29 hours per week and requiring non-standard or rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Associate’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
3-5 years of experience in law enforcement administrative experience
Valid Driver's License
ALEAP Accreditation Manager Training (required upon hire)
Ability to pass an extensive background investigation
Must be able to pass background investigation and polygraph examination (for part-time)
Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
