About The Position

The Division of Capitol Police is seeking an Accreditation Coordinator to maintain and oversee all aspects of the Division's VLEPSC accreditation program. This role involves managing files and proofs, conducting periodic audits, reviewing and developing policies, providing training, and ensuring compliance with required deadlines. The Accreditation Coordinator will also serve as a VLEPSC accreditation assessor and the primary point of contact for VLEPSC representatives, assessors, and agency personnel. Additionally, this position will administer and maintain the Division's PowerDMS platform, managing policy creation, revision, publication, and archiving, while ensuring compliance with agency requirements through tracking training completion and policy acknowledgments. The role requires acting as the agency's subject matter expert for PowerDMS, including granting access, providing training, troubleshooting, and offering technical assistance.

  • Prior experience working in an accreditation role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee all aspects of the Division's VLEPSC accreditation program including maintaining files and proofs, conducting periodic audits, reviewing and developing policies, providing training to Division personnel, researching, tracking and ensuring compliance in accordance with required deadlines.
  • Serve as a VLEPSC accreditation assessor.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison with VLEPSC representatives, assessors, and agency personnel.
  • Administer and maintain the Division's PowerDMS platform to maintain security and functionality.
  • Manage policy creation, revision, publication and archive.
  • Ensure compliance with agency requirements by tracking training completion and policy acknowledgement by Division employees.
  • Audit policy compliance, training, and related documentation.
  • Serve as the agency's subject matter expert of PowerDMS which includes granting employee access to PowerDMS, providing training, troubleshooting system issues and providing technical assistance to employees.
