About The Position

Behind every healthy business is a team that gets the details right. At Mitchell Companies, our Accounts Receivable team plays a critical role in keeping our operation moving. We're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor who can lead a team, improve processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our receivables function. This is more than a collections role. You'll be responsible for helping drive cash flow, supporting financial reporting, partnering with multiple departments, and developing a team that delivers accurate and timely results every day. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or related accounting experience
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team
  • Strong understanding of receivables processes, credit management, and collections
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP or accounting systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence handling difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism and customer relationships

Responsibilities

  • Leading, developing, and supporting Accounts Receivable team members
  • Monitoring daily AR activity to ensure accuracy and timely processing
  • Overseeing customer billing, supplier invoicing, and account statements
  • Reviewing aging reports and helping resolve delinquent accounts
  • Investigating billing discrepancies, deductions, chargebacks, and account concerns
  • Preparing reporting and metrics related to collections, aging, and cash flow
  • Participating in credit reviews and risk management discussions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiency
  • Building positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, including GAAP
