About The Position

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and collecting open accounts receivable (AR) balances. You will actively engage with customers to resolve outstanding balances and support branch personnel in achieving collection objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience with collections, accounts receivable, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in account and cash reconciliations, credit analysis, and collection calls.
  • Experience in B2B collections, particularly with large accounts.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-volume collections.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • 2+ years of experience in high-volume collections, research, resolution, and de-escalation.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contact customers to collect open AR balances and update the Get Paid AR collection system with accurate customer information and account statuses.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing assistance or directing them to the appropriate person for resolution.
  • Reconcile accounts and perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Establish and negotiate acceptable payment arrangements and settlements while maintaining a positive relationship with customers.
  • Counsel customers to find funds to bring accounts current.
  • Generate and respond to written correspondence professionally and compliantly.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions and arrangements.
  • Recommend next steps for unresponsive or non-performing accounts.
  • Conduct skip tracing to locate customers when contact ceases.
  • Collaborate effectively with salespersons, branch personnel, and team members to resolve accounts.
  • Search for payments in unapplied cash.
