About The Position

TempToFT A/R Representative-Medical Billing: Large multi-state, multi-specialty group practice is looking for a highly motivated, organized, detail oriented individual for very high volume, fast paced billing office. Remote work from home in Port St. Lucie, FL. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:00.

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounts receivable
• Knowledge of general accounting principles
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Accounts receivable and general accounting experience required
• Medical billing experience required
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Problem analysis and problem solving skills

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Customer service skills

• Knowledge of insurance portals a plus

Responsibilities

• Posting cash, check and credit card payments daily
• Collecting and posting electronic remits/payments daily from multiple portals
• Prepare electronic bank deposits daily
• Sending appeals to appeals department
• Contacting insurance carriers on unpaid claims and claims discrepancies
• Submitting corrected claims to insurance carriers when necessary
• Submitting claims to secondary insurance carriers
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries
• Daily denials
• Refunds
• Investigating, working and responding to inquiries/issues from various offices via email
• Maintain strict confidentiality
