Since 1946, Capitol Group has been a leading distributor of plumbing, HVAC, industrial/mechanical, and kitchen and bath products in Illinois and Missouri. Capitol Group is seeking a detail-oriented and customer focused Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining positive customer relationships while supporting the company's cash flow objectives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and/or collections.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles and collection practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Professional, customer-focused approach when handling sensitive account matters.

Responsibilities

• Process proper application of payments to customer accounts.
• Distribute invoices and statements on a scheduled basis.
• Resolve short-paid issues.
• Perform month-end duties to resolve billing and open credit problems.
