About The Position

The A/R Clerk will ensure that company cash receipts and withdrawals are applied appropriately in the ERP system. This position will work closely with the collections specialist to manage delinquent customer accounts. The successful candidate must be positive, focused, a team player, and able to deliver qual ity work, even when distracted . The pr ofessional in this position must be self - motivated, ambitious, and ready for a challenge. Critical thinking and reasoning skil ls are an absolute necessity to be successful in this position.

Requirements

3 + years work experience in an accounts receivable position
Working knowledge of cash application software (AX12 is a plus)
1+ years collections experience
Ability to research, understand and apply accounting guidelines and regulations
Strong competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to multi - task is an asset

Responsibilities

P osting cash receipts and withdrawals into our internal ERP system, preparing, posting, verifying , and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Work with Collections Specialist to manage customer accounts based on policy guidelines and collaborate with leadership, sales, or customer as appropriate.
Document all interaction with customers and vendors to ensure reporting accuracy accord ing to established Sox Controls
Actively participate in projects or process improvements to drive operational effectiveness and performance improvement that le ads to a positive and measurable impact on the business
Responsible for contacting delinquent account holders to collect payment
Collaborates with Collection Specialist to reconcile accounts receivable
Other duties and special projects as requested
