About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk for one of our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the financial operations of a growing company. The ideal candidate will serve as the right hand to our Accounts Receivable Manager, assisting with daily accounts receivable functions and ensuring customer accounts remain accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Previous Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeping, or related office experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable making collection calls in a professional manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting software is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework is a plus
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Team player who enjoys supporting others
  • Professional communication skills
  • Eager to learn and grow within the company

Responsibilities

  • Post and apply customer payments accurately and timely
  • Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate payment records
  • Contact customers regarding past-due balances by phone and email
  • Send payment reminders, statements, and collection notices
  • Research and resolve customer payment discrepancies
  • Reconcile customer accounts and assist with month-end reporting
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
  • Assist the Accounts Receivable Manager with daily administrative and accounting tasks
  • Provide professional customer service while handling payment inquiries
  • Perform other accounting and office duties as assigned
