About The Position

The A/P Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of all A/P activity. The A/P Supervisor must be well organized, task-oriented and will be responsible for partnering with the proper internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Must have the ability to work well independently as well as work within a team of internal/external stakeholders
• Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a minimum of three years of related work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Direct management/oversight of all accounts payable functions and staff
• Provide supervision, development and performance management for A/P clerk
• Oversee new vendor and payment setup
• Daily review and approval of payment requests in accordance with company guidelines
• Complete daily entry of Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding to departments, product lines and general ledger accounts with proper approval
• Properly manage cash flow ensuring payments are made in a timely manner
• Review and enter company credit card transaction activity
• Maintain vendor files and W-9’s
• Answer inquiries from vendors and customers
• Prepare monthly reconciliation and reporting for management
• Issue 1099 tax documents at year end
• Other special projects in finance
