About The Position

KBP Brands, a leader in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for key tasks that support the daily accounts payable operations, including invoice entry, purchase order matching, payment processing, supplier maintenance, and other projects assigned by leadership. Requirements

• Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and Accounts Payable experience
• Demonstrated ability to leverage technology in performing job duties, including Microsoft Excel as well as applicable accounting software
• High level of initiative and self-motivation with an emphasis on establishing and understanding processes with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people in financial and non-financial roles
• Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and manage tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Responsibilities

• Effectively executes the company's processes and policies related to entry, validation, and filing/storage of payables invoices with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Ensures all payables are coded appropriately within the Company's accounting structure
• Ensures all payables transactions have appropriate supporting documentation based on the type of transaction and nature of the expense consistent with Company policies and procedures
• Reconcile large vendor accounts while investigating and resolving issues that are associated with the processing of purchase orders and invoices
• Ensures discrepancies related to vendor (remittance address and payment terms) or payment information are resolved in a timely manner
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve reconciling items, transaction errors, and other discrepancies
• Drive timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of financial information to meet specified deadlines
• Recommend improvements, adaptations or revisions to the accounting system and procedures
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Leadership team.
