The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for verifying approval on all invoices and check requests, posting open items, processing payments to vendors, maintaining the vendor database, and reconciling vendor statements. The role also involves maintaining accounts payable reports and files, 1099 preparation, unclaimed property filing, and various accounts receivable duties such as recording payments, reconciling deposits, and processing credit card transactions.
