About The Position

The Accounts Payable Manager will lead and oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of vendor and subcontractor payments in a government contracting environment. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, enhancing internal controls, and leading automation initiatives to support a scalable and high-performing finance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6-10 years of accounts payable or accounting experience.
  • Experience in a government contracting (GovCon) environment.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DCAA compliance.
  • ERP system experience (Oracle, Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, etc.).
  • Strong Excel and financial systems proficiency.
  • Customer service focus and mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end accounts payable operations including invoice processing and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and DCAA requirements.
  • Review invoices for proper project and contract cost coding/allocation.
  • Oversee invoice review and payment in accordance with contract terms.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to support audits.
  • Establish KPIs and monitor AP performance metrics and workflows.
  • Assist with DCAA audits, financial audits, and other reviews as needed.
  • Manage vendor onboarding and maintenance, including W-9 and compliance documentation.
  • Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations.
  • Develop and manage AP team.
