About The Position

WellQuest Living is a leading Senior Living Company headquartered in Salt Lake City with operations throughout California. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, exceptional organizational skills, and a positive work-hard attitude.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounts payable management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and resolve any payment discrepancies.
  • Negotiate payment terms and discounts with vendors to optimize cash flow.
  • Organize contract renewal dates and stay on top of soon expiring contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounts payable procedures.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to generate accurate and timely financial reports related to accounts payable.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounts payable processes.
  • Collaborate with treasury and finance teams to ensure adequate funds are available for timely payments.
  • Prepare and facilitate external and internal audits related to accounts payable.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records to support audit inquiries.
  • Work with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues.
  • Investigate and resolve any disputes or discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate 1099s for multiple entities on an annual basis.
  • Undertake special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
