The candidate will work full-time from our Ellsworth, Maine location. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for supporting and supervision of day to day operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent
- Strong Excel skills including pivot table and VLOOKUP’s
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are critical
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail, time-management and work ethic
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with Avid Ascend
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in developing, documenting and improving payable systems, processes and procedures
- Manage and monitor day to day accounts payable operations
- Manage, train and support accounts payable staff
- Provide customer service to both vendors and internal business lines
- Perform accounts payable and general ledger maintenance
- Research and correct discrepancies
- Manage the 1099 and sales and use tax processes
- Manage day to day cash balances in the Bank’s accounts
- Maintain internal controls and documentation
- Assist with accounts payable related projects as needed
- Support month, quarter and year end procedures
- Code and process invoices
- Prepare check runs, ACH, and wire payments
- Enthusiastically support the Bank’s Guiding Principles and Brand Behaviors.
- Adhere to federal regulatory requirements, such as the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Acts, and all established policies and procedures
