About The Position
Steele Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Term Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing team. This role is on-site at their new Volvo dealership in Bayers Lake Business Park. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialized accounting skills within the automotive industry, with a focus on efficient time management and accuracy. The role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in accounting.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Nice To Haves
- Automotive experience.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems.
- Familiarity with automated accounts payable software, particularly “YOOZ.”
Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and code vendor invoices.
- Coordinate invoice approvals with department managers and address any related queries.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice or statement discrepancies.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding cheques.
- Reconcile vendor statements and related party payables.
- Prepare outgoing cheques/EFTs for approval and submission.
