About The Position

The Staff Pad is partnering with a reputed hospital located in Manchester, TN, and we are looking to hire a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join the accounting team. In this role you are required to have a solid understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience with accounts payable processes.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Working knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel preferred
Ability to handle confidential financial information with accuracy and professionalism
Experience performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP software
Understanding of month-end closing processes, vendor management, and payment processing

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Previous accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
Prior healthcare, medical office, or hospital accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Process accounts and incoming payments in accordance with company policies and procedures
Execute daily financial transactions, including verifying, posting, and recording accounts payable data
Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate recording of bills and payments
Monitor vendor payment agreements and ensure timely payments
Assist with month-end closing tasks
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
