About The Position

As an Accounting Technician, you’re the steady hand behind the numbers that matter most. You live where precision meets insight — supporting financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and analysis that drives informed decision-making. Your work ensures that financial data is not only accurate but trusted. You don’t just process numbers — you validate, reconcile, and strengthen them. Whether you’re preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, or analyzing variances, you bring consistency, structure, and a sharp attention to detail to everything you do. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you help maintain the integrity of financial reporting and support the organization in meeting regulatory requirements with confidence.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in a related accounting or reporting role
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
Experience working in an accounting or financial reporting environment
Ability to adapt to new systems and tools with ease

Nice To Haves

Progress toward a professional accounting designation (CPA) is considered an asset
Knowledge of corporate tax is considered an asset
Experience with Workday Finance is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Support financial, regulatory, and management reporting processes
Complete reconciliations and prepare journal entries with accuracy and consistency
Process and report on financial data on a daily basis
Conduct monthly variance analysis across income and expense accounts
Assist in documenting processes and strengthening internal controls
Contribute to ad hoc projects focused on data integrity, reporting enhancements, and regulatory updates
Research accounting and regulatory changes and communicate insights to leadership
