About The Position

The Accounting Technician, Outsourced Finance & Accounting supports accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. The role performs activities across the end-to-end pay cycle and helps maintain payroll data integrity and strong controls while providing a positive client experience. The position collects and enters payroll information, updates employee records, processes payroll by established deadlines, and works with client staff to obtain needed information and documents. Significant client issues are communicated to a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and basic research skills.
• Strong data-entry skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details.
• Ability to multitask successfully while working independently or within a group environment.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with tip reporting, multi-state payrolls, IRS letter responses, and garnishment calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and enter payroll data using appropriate software.
• Update payroll records to reflect changes, including deductions, garnishments, and salary increases.
• Process payroll by established deadlines.
• Interact with client staff to obtain information, documents, and data needed to complete assigned tasks.
• Communicate significant client issues to a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as required.
