Acct. Tech II/Distribution Agent
About The Position
This position is within the Child Support Services Section, Division of Social Services, specifically in the Distribution and Collection Unit of the Central Operations Unit. This unit processes approximately 4000 financial adjustment requests monthly. The role involves processing adjustment requests from local child support offices and the Centralized Collection Agency, identifying, distributing, and tracking these requests, researching and reversing errors, entering data into the Automated Collections and Tracking System (ACTS), and processing financial reports. The Division of Social Services (DSS) aims to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable citizens and promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency for individuals and families.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience; or
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with researching financial transactions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office or Similar Software.
Responsibilities
- Processing adjustment requests from local child support offices and the Centralized Collection Agency.
