About The Position

DP World is seeking an Accounting Systems Intern to support the Contract Logistics Accounting team during its conversion from SAP to Oracle. The intern will assist with conversion activities and other accounting tasks while gaining exposure to accounting processes, financial systems, and cross-functional project work.

As part of DP World's structured 10-week Summer Internship Program, interns receive hands-on experience and participate in professional development and networking opportunities, including leadership fireside chats, social events, and internship projects. Interns will set individual summer goals, collaborate with colleagues across the organization, and have opportunities to develop professional skills and build their network.

The role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is hybrid, with four days onsite and one day remote. The program is scheduled for Summer 2027, with dates listed as May 31 to June 6.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Interest in learning accounting systems and gaining exposure to SAP and Oracle.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support the Contract Logistics Accounting team with the SAP-to-Oracle accounting system conversion.
• Assist with testing, data validation, reconciliations, and review of converted accounting information.
• Help identify, research, and document discrepancies or issues found during conversion and testing activities.
• Assist with process documentation and mapping accounting workflows as needed.
• Support routine Contract Logistics accounting activities and analyses as assigned.
• Collaborate with accounting and project team members to complete assigned conversion activities and deliverables.
• Perform other Contract Logistics accounting tasks as assigned.
