About The Position

Under the direction of the Cost Supervisor, the Accounting Intern supports the Finance team with cost accounting and inventory-related activities. The role assists with maintaining product cost rolls, preparing inventory reports, analyzing inventory and cost data, and supporting month-end close activities. The intern gains hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and works closely with Finance team members and cross-functional departments to develop a broad understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting, and business operations.

Requirements

• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Above-average verbal and written communication skills.
• At least two years of college-level classes and active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Computer proficiency in Windows-based software.
• Availability from 8:00 until 4:30; overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and validation of product cost rolls.
• Prepare and analyze inventory reports.
• Assist in the month-end closing process, including analysis and preparation of journal entries.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
• Provide support to other members of the Finance team as needed.
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
