About The Position

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accounting Supervisor III based at our Berea, KY facility. This role involves leading and overseeing financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. The position also includes preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. A key aspect of this role is monitoring and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and support compliance initiatives. The Accounting Supervisor III will analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide recommendations and explanations to management. Additionally, they will support the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range financial planning activities, and coordinate accounting and reporting activities across multiple locations within the Americas Division. The role also entails supervising, coaching, and developing accounting team members while managing workload priorities and performance, and championing process improvement efforts that increase efficiency, enhance reporting quality, and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Financial reporting and analysis

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and reports.

  • Experience working with confidential financial information.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, vendors, banks, and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Accounting (MSA) preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, and/or MBA certification preferred.
  • Experience supervising or leading accounting professionals preferred.
