About The Position

America’s Floor Source, one of the nation’s largest flooring companies, is seeking a full-time accounts payable specialist at our Columbus headquarters. This individual will be responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to accounts payable.

Requirements

Proven working experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high volume environment
Strong understanding of the 3-way matching process
Experience processing inventory related payables and resolving invoice discrepancies with purchasing and receiving departments
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office suite and internet research
Customer service orientation
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Sound decision-making and problem solving skills
Self-motivated and accountable

Nice To Haves

Associate degree (Preferred)
Accounts Payable: 2 years (Preferred)
Microsoft Excel: 3 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Review, sort and match invoices and check requests
Set up invoices for payment
Process check requests
Prepare and processing accounts payable checks
Reconciliation of payments
Prepare analysis of accounts
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date
Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues
File maintenance
Correspond with vendors and responding to inquiries
Produce monthly reports
Assist in month-end closing
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
