About The Position

We are looking to hire an Accounting Specialist to support our team in Riverside, CA! This role involves supporting financial operations by performing complex accounting services related to preparing, analyzing, maintaining, and reviewing various financial statements, records, and reports. The specialist will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries with supporting documentation, preparation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets for account analysis and reporting, cash reconciliation, and all company inventory reconciliations. Additionally, the role includes capitalization and depreciation of fixed assets, collecting appropriate data to prepare sales tax returns, 1099s, and other informational and/or compliance reporting. The ability to work independently is crucial. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
At least 1+ year of experience performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and related functions)
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

Preparation of journal entries with supporting documentation

Responsible for cash reconciliation
Responsible for all company inventory reconciliations
