About The Position

La Cava Jacobson, P.A. is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Department in our Tampa location. La Cava Jacobson, P.A., an AV Preeminent rated Florida Defense Firm, handles litigation and appeals in all Florida state and federal courts. With over 40 attorneys across 6 offices, we serve clients throughout the State of Florida. Requirements

Ability to handle high volume data entry with accuracy and acute attention to detail.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
Ability to multi-task in an efficient and timely manner.
Ability to work independently and be an effective team member and display initiative.
Be consistently at work and on time and able to commit to the hours necessary to complete assignments; work independently.
Proficient in Excel and Word.
Possess basic PC skills, ability to use copier, scanner, printer.
Minimum of three years’ experience.

Knowledge of the Orion Financial Management System
Law Firm Accounting/Billing experience
AA/Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

Input new matters into accounting system for Time Entry.
Deposit & Post Payments received.
Reconcile payment reductions on invoices.
Reviews time/expense entry data to ensure accurate data input.
Process Prebills and Invoices.
Upload invoices via EDI websites.
Track outstanding billing issues, follows through and resolves in a timely and professional manner.
Follow up on past due invoices in a timely manner.
Billing and Budgeting Reporting.
Bank Reconciliations/Some Month End Processes.
