About The Position

The Conrad Company, a fast-growing, award-winning family-owned business located in York, PA is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the accounting team. As an Accounting Specialist, you should be a skilled researcher, possess strong communication and computer skills, and be adept at analyzing information while providing prompt, courteous responses to inquiries and requests from associates, customers, and vendors. To succeed as an Accounting Specialist, you should be committed to providing efficient, reliable support to all departments, sister brands, and external parties. You should be trustworthy and thorough, with excellent time management skills. The Accounting Specialist will perform functions across the Finance department for various companies under The Conrad Company.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable.
  • Experience working in ERP systems.
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable collections process.
  • Experience in account reconciliations.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing personality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Customer invoicing.
  • Collection of past due receivable accounts.
  • Maintaining customer sales tax files.
  • Posting customer payments.
  • Matching of accounts payable invoices/receipts.
  • Processing vendor invoices.
  • Preparing weekly vendor payments (ACH and Check).
  • Monthly account reconciliations.
  • Investigating variances and taking necessary corrective actions.
  • Supporting special projects.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
